Project DigiSaksham: Empowering Mathura's Girls for a Digital India

A groundbreaking initiative to bridge the gender digital divide in rural Mathura

The Urgent Crisis

Girls in Mathura face systematic exclusion from digital access due to:

  • Social Barriers: Family norms restricting phone access
  • Literacy Gap: Female literacy at only 52.72%
  • Device Denial: Limited access to digital devices

Our Targeted Solution

An all-girls pilot program in 5 government schools for Classes 9-12:

  • 250 Girls to be empowered
  • 50 Tablets for exclusive use
  • Safe Digital Spaces created in schools

School Digital Facilities & Access Survey

This survey collects information from schools in Mathura District about digital library resources, smart class facilities, physical and digital accessibility, and essential infrastructure like electricity, water, and sanitation.
One representative per school (student, teacher, or principal) is requested to submit accurate details to help us assess and improve digital access and learning environments for all.
